Why A Higher Power?

🔥It’s So Hard!

If when you take a drink you lose power of choice and control once the chemical is in your body…

If at certain times you lack mental defense against the first drink…

If every form of human aid failed to keep you away from a drink…

If you continued to commit the most insane act by taking a drink whilst sober…

You better find some power!!!

My hopeless experience with alcohol clearly showed me that I needed a relationship with a power greater than myself…

All else had failed

Steps 2 thru 12 are all about your need for power…

And it had to be a power greater than you obviously.

The program is simple…

It asks of us to develop a manner of trusting and relying upon God to solve our problem by doing the work in the steps.

I often hear people saying it’s so hard!…

Really?…

What did alcohol ask of you?…

To break the hearts of just about every person who loved you…

To constantly lie, cheat and steal…

To consistently walk this earth feeling like you don’t belong here…

To suffer from a hopeless state of mind and body that rendered you a hopeless and feeble case…

Compared to what alcohol demanded of me…

Working a spiritual program of action was an absolute breeze…

Developing the manner of trusting and relying upon God was simple…

It came to me…

It happened automatically…

Without any thought or effort on my part…

All I had to do was thoroughly follow the path laid out for me…

The Steps are already written for you…

The clear cut instructions are in place to guide you…

The sponsor is there to take you through the journey…

The fellowship is there to uphold and help you…

God is waiting for you…

Still want to complain it’s so hard??

Share this with someone who may need to hear this.
