🔥 Sunday Serenity

If you were to constructively review your past week…how many of you caught a resentment or two?

If you answer is no to this question you are lying to yourself…

I reviewed my step 11 evening reviews this morning for the past week and there were no less than 5 resentments listed…

As plain as day…

I need to be rid of all resentment or it will kill me.

“But with the alcoholic, whose hope is the maintenance and growth of a spiritual experience, this business of resentment is infinitely grave. We found that it is fatal. For when harboring such feelings we shut ourselves off from the sunlight of the Spirit. The insanity of alcohol returns and we drink again. And with us, to drink is to die. If we were to live, we had to be free of anger.”

Are you assuming that because you have been sober a while you have immunity against resentments?…

That even though you have resentment oozing through your viens that somehow you will be ok based upon your past sobriety?…

Or Are you suffering the delusion that you don’t feel resentment anymore as you are now a perfect being immune to human emotion?…

In other words has your ego reemerged and is currently blinding you from your own truth?…

Has the insanity of alcohol returned in the form of the delusion that you have the power of choice and control of alcohol…over your resentments…over your your life?

“Lack of power that was our dilemma”

Has the insanity of this disease convinced you that you do possess power over alcohol…

That you do not need God…

That you do not need to work a spiritual program of action…

That you can do this your way?

Do you pretend to live the spiritual life by hiding everything in you that exists beneath the surface whilst claiming to work this program?…

I did this for many years and the result was worse than nil…the result was darkness.

Ask yourself that question again…

Have I collect any resentments that I still hold onto?

Share this with someone who may need to hear it.
