The Power of Prayer

Some of you may be wondering why your prayers don’t get answered?…

Well that depends on what answers to pray you are expecting…

Do you pray with expectations of a final outcome designed by you?…

Or do you pray with absolute acceptance and zero expectations?…

The prayers we are instructed to pray are not designed to be verbal transactions with God…

The prayers are calls to action with zero expectations of an outcome…

We call this humility…

Faith without works is dead…

Ever wondered what those “works” are?…

Would you like to know what creates a deep and rich experience through prayer?

Put your prayers into action…

And your life and recovery will take off like a rocket!

Here are a few examples of the calls to action in the Step 3 prayer…

The Step 3 Prayer

“Many of us said to our Maker, as we understood Him:
God, I offer myself to Thee—to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt – God is the architect of the build not you…the call to action here is to take instructions from the architect and carry them out.

Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will – Call to action is to align yourself with God’s will by taking inventory of how you have been running your life to suit your own will.

Take away my difficulties – Call to action is to practice the skill of allowing God to remove your defects of character regardless of how uncomfortable that may be.

That victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of life – Call to action here is to share at every opportunity your experience, strength and hope with others.

May I do Thy will always!…continue to align your actions with God’s will through working the spiritual program of action.

To no longer arrange life to suit ourselves,
We arrange our lives to serve others,
We align ourselves with God’s will and let God demonstrate through us what God can do.

No action = No answer to prayer

Obviously!

Share this someone who may need to hear it.
